| Description/Remarks | Image depicts studies of three young African men, in pastel ink and watercolour on a buff-coloured paper support. Between 1949 and 1953 Friend sailed to Italy via Sri Lanka; lived in Florence, London and Ischia. This work was produced during this time. (One of the first works acquired by the Univertsity). |
